Tuesday, October 30th, 2012Home from Scope!
Saturday, September 4th, 2010Made our way home from the Scope Showjumping Championships today. Had a great week but sadly Lauren and John Boy didn’t qualify for HOYS in the Newcomers Masters. However they jumped some super rounds, coming 2nd out of 140 in the Foxhunter/Blue Riband and made it to the Champonship arena three times. This must be the nearest thing to Horse of the Year Show, huge arena, big crowds and even bigger atmosphere. John Boys eyes were on stalks as he entered the arena but he focused his hardest on the fences and jumped beautifully but those toes just touched a pole 🙁 A great experience all round.
On returning home we discovered Bernadette with her lovely Ravels Bolero won her Petplan (more to follow). Also Samantha had a half page write up and photo in Horse and Hound in addition to photos in Dressage Magazine. Also Melanie Murray and Uccello, her Andalusian x Lusitano (by Don Diego), entered their first ‘online’ dressage competition. Having no horsebox they thought they would have a go, do the test and send the video in. They won on a score of over 70%. Well done to all!
